This 1974 Italian film, (Il fiore delle Mille e una notte) follows the story of an innocent young man, Nur-e-Din who falls in love with a beautiful slave girl Zumurrud. The film contains many of scenic imagery of the Middle East. Filming locations take place in Eritrea, Iran, Ethiopia, India, Italy, Nepal and Yemen. This film took the Grand Prix Special du Jury at the prestigious Cannes Film festival in 1974. The main themes are love and deception. Arabian Nights was quite controversial at the time of its release and holds an NC-17 rating in the US and was compeletely banned in Singapore. There is plenty of nudity in this film which gave it its rating. This 720p version by CINeFiLE runs 2hrs 10 minutes, and is completely un-cut. The film has been newly transferred in High-Definition using the original 35mm negative film elements.

Four Los Angelenos, a mortician, an ex-con, a suicidal ex-priest, and a stripper are brought together on Christmas Eve by a mixture of circumstances. Several Los Angeles residents meet on Christmas Eve through chance, tragedy and divine intervention. Patrick Swayze plays the sleazy owner of the strip club where Jessica Biel’s character dances. Eddie Redmayne portrays a mortician who falls in love with her. Kris Kristofferson plays the head of a corporate crime organization who tries to convince his former employee (Ray Liotta) not to seek vengeance on his former co-workers. Forest Whitaker, who also serves as a producer on the film, will play a suicidal ex-priest. Alejandro Romero will play a transsexual prostitute who shares an unexpected bond with the priest.

Ryan (Chris Evans) finds himself getting focused in a real hurry when he receives a random cell phone call from kidnapped biology teacher (Kim Basinger). She’s locked in an attic with a room full of killers below, and has only managed to contact him via crossing loose wires on a smashed phone; if they lose the connection, she may never get another one, and the kidnappers are going after her child next. What follows is a nonstop race all over Los Angeles as Ryan deals with connection-threatening problems like tunnels, low batteries, and crossed signals.
